Camping
Camping Qui Vivra Verra in Le Mesnil-Amey is a small and peaceful campsite owned by a Dutch proprietor. Located in the Manche department of the Normandy region, it is near the city of Saint-Lô. Visitors come to Qui Vivra Verra for the tranquility, nature, friendly atmosphere, Normandy’s attractions, and delicious food. Starting this year (2024), we have a separate parking area for campers, making the campsite even quieter.
Note: We are an ADULTS ONLY campsite.
Lakeside Campsites
The camping spots at Camping Qui Vivra Verra are situated around a small lake next to a little river. You can choose from one of our pitches or opt for the furnished tent bungalow. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own tent! We organize various daily activities such as barbecue evenings (weather permitting), cheese nights, and picnics. Once a week, we host a “tables d’hôtes” evening, a typical Normandy experience.
Update: The pond on the campsite is no longer for swimming. Due to heavy rainfall in recent years, the pond has silted up and is now filled with many plants. However, the water remains very clean.
Our Camping Options
Staying at Camping Qui Vivra Verra is only possible by reservation. The accommodation costs include electricity, sanitation facilities, Wi-Fi, parking, and, of course, our highly appreciated service (see Zoover). A hearty breakfast is available for €9 per person per day.
> Campsite Pitch
Our beautiful camping pitches are located around the lake. If you bring your own folding trailer, tent, caravan, or camper, it costs €15 per person per night. Your dog can camp with you for free.
> Tent Bungalow
For a more luxurious camping experience, you can rent “La Cabane,” which includes 4 beds, a refrigerator, a cooktop, a covered terrace, and the most picturesque part of the campsite with the river winding through your backyard. It costs €70 per night or €360 per week. Please let us know if you would like us to provide the bedding or if you will bring your own.

Sanitary renovation 2024
Over the past years, we have had some complaints about the sanitary facilities, such as lack of privacy, limited space, and problems with dishwashing during rain. I am incredibly thankful for the help of my dear friends, who, like in previous years, have proven themselves indispensable. Their assistance is not just a sign of their skills but also of true friendship, which gives me an immense feeling of richness.
Thanks to their effort, the stair railing is now safer and looks more beautiful. The sanitary facilities have been significantly improved with additions like a canopy, tiles in the showers, an extra sink, and a repaired roof, eliminating any leaks and electrical hazards. Moreover, all the lighting in the house and on the campsite has been fixed, which is not only safer but also enhances its appearance.
Bread service
Next season we will have bread service so that we will have even more peace on the campsite, fewer emissions, and fewer slamming doors. Now only the baker or we ourselves drive and not everyone on their own.
*If you use a chemical toilet, these days you can just buy green soap for your toilet, which is suitable for a septic tank. It will say so on the packaging and you can just empty it with us.
Surroundings
There is much to do and see in the immediate vicinity and in Normandy. The sandy beaches in the south of Normandy are a 20-minute drive away. The D-Day landing beaches are approximately a 30-minute drive away. You can cycle here beautifully (bicycles can be rented at the campsite) and walk. During your stay, be sure to visit Mont-Saint-Michel and take a canoe trip on the Orne river in beautiful Suisse-Normade. The combination of hospitality and nature make camping Qui Vivra Verra the ideal destination to explore the beautiful landscape and sights of Normandy.
